Winners of Our April Fool's Day Challenge

After going through the many hilarious submissions of jokes and pranks in our April Fool’s Day competition, we’ve come up with two winners.

Thank you to everyone who participated. Below are the winning submissions from Lance Williamson and Karen Burdick.

Thanks again! We hope to see you soon!

“I changed all the clocks this morning causing my husband to be 1 hour early for all his appointments!”

“Hi Everyone at The Oasis,
April fools challenge
We moved to this area from Sitka, Alaska. One of the best ever April fools pranks happened just outside of Sitka in 1974. Here is what happened:
An extinct volcano is just across Sitka Sound from the town of Sitka. It is a very visible from town and is beautiful. A local "character named Porky Bickar gathered hundreds of old tires together. He hired a helicopter to take him and the tires into the crater of Mt. Edgecomb on April 1. He then lit the tires on fire!! The black smoke rose from the crater. People in town freeked out--thinking that the mountain was erupting! Boy did he get in trouble with the EPA, law, etc.

If you don't believe me, you can check the story out at: http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/hoax/aprilfool/P10/

It is #16 on their list.

As an additional note, I first moved to Sitka in August of 1975 to attend college there. On the very next April 1st everyone in town was talking about Porky's prank of a year before.”
